This AP2 Seemed Interestingly Low Priced

2005 rio yellow ap2 with 100k. $13 is a bit low for what seems like good condition. Don’t have carfax but can’t find much besides that it was sold in Chicago in July of 18.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Few things of note:

1. The fitment around the headlights of the front bumper

2. The panel gaps under the hood

3. Paint on the front bumper not being 100% matching (this happens on focuses from the factory stock, so maybe it’s something like that, but still)

4. The small indents on either side of the front grille are missing their inserts. Should be black inserts there.

What do you say, get a PPI and knock the price down? Or avoid this? Something tells me there’s more behind this car.

Get the PPI; it might have had a small fender-bender and some appearance parts may have not been replaced but if it’s still straight and true, then haggle the price down for what should still be a solid sports car.

What is concerning is that another silver one I found was about the same price and was a salvage title. There might be more than meets the eye but we will see. Thinking about checking it out this weekend

That’s why I’m skeptical on this rio  because it’s a bit Lower than I think it should be. It’s only 15 miles or so away so I may try looking at it.

Give the dealer’s google reviews a read. It looks like it’s a wholesale shop, so they’ll be hit or miss. I’d go for a PPI, but it looks like there was front end damage on this.

That doesn’t seem too low to me.

I sold my 2004 AP2 with 60k miles for $14,500 and it was mint, BUT that was several years ago .
